If you can’t get the Magic Wand Rechargeable, the Doxy Massager rivals that model in power and costs around the same, but you must plug it in to run it. For anyone who doesn’t mind the cord, the Doxy is a sleek and colorful alternative to the clinical-looking Magic Wand. Our tester found its control panel to be easier and more intuitive to use but preferred the shape and texture of the Magic Wand’s firmer, more angular head.

Maude Vibe

Affordable and versatile
This simple silicone vibrator is far less expensive than similar rechargeable models, and it offers a lot of power for its small size.

The no-frills, teardrop-shaped Maude Vibe is available only in utilitarian gray and comes packaged with its USB charging cord in a humble canvas bag. For precise stimulation
This toy’s oscillating stem is the best thing we’ve found for focusing intense stimulation on the most sensitive parts of the vulva and clitoris. The sensation may not satisfy people who prefer the more diffuse, broader stimulation of larger toys like the Magic Wand, though.
